Instead of owning your own car, it is more ecological to rent one if necessary or to register with a car sharing provider. That is why we are presenting several options for car rental and car sharing for our students. We generally recommend comparing different offers!
Car rental
The AStA offers you the opportunity to rent a car at a particularly low price via framework agreements. We are in discussion for further offers.
Sixt – online reservation
(Sixt conditions) works as follows:
1. Go to the page http://www.sixt.de/php/ reservation / loginstart
2. Log in with the following data:

3. Book your car.
Carsharing
YourCar
1. You have to register on the page https://yourcar-carsharing.de/ . Instead of a registration fee of 29 €, you as a student only pay 19 € and 0.3 € per minute.
2. Via https://app.yourcar-carsharing.de/#51.5269-9.9499-11-2 you can find and book a free car. As a student, you will receive a discount of 10% on the current value.
Studibus
1. You can book the van at the Esso gas station Kasseler Landstraße at https://studibus.de/city/goettingen . The first booking is also the registration.
2. You can pick up the van within your rented period. This must be brought back at the end of the period.
Green car
1. Register at https://www.gruenes-auto.de/
2. You can choose between a monthly fee of 45 € as a frequent driver or a booking fee of 5 € per use.
