AStA comments on the bike referendum

As representatives of the students of the University of Göttingen, we are committed to a city in which mobility is both environmentally friendly and people-friendly. We see the measures proposed in the two upcoming referendums as suitable means of making cycling in Göttingen safer and more attractive. This will ensure that other road users are not impaired to an unreasonable extent.
We therefore welcome the Göttingen Zero initiative and stand in solidarity with all those who are committed to climate protection, building networks and actively shaping our city of Göttingen. We emphatically counter the criticism of the cycling decisions: Every beginning is hard, but this beginning is worth it!
So go to the polls on June 9!
