“How to Occupy”: Conclusion and lessons learned after two semesters of university occupation at the University of Göttingen – EndFossil: Occupy! Göttingen
Friday, 30.06.2023, 12:00 a.m. in the Sitzungssaal des AStA-Gebäudes

Why do we occupy? What are our experiences of the last occupations? What have we achieved? And (when) will we come back?

Lecture: The forest and the climate – locally and globally – Dr. Franziska Koebsch
Friday, 30.06.2023, 2 p.m. in ZHG001

The forest stores CO2. That is clear. But it also influences cloud formation, precipitation patterns and soil temperature. In boreal regions, forests can even amplify climate change. We look at how forests affect climate and how climate change affects forests – on our own doorstep and around the world. We also look at the role of forests in climate policy: What is the contribution of forests to achieving Germany’s climate goals and how are forests integrated into international climate agreements?

“Klimawandel in der Gefriertruhe: AntArktis” – Dr. Oliver Krüger
Friday, 30.06.2023, 4 p.m. in ZHG001

What are actually the coldest regions on earth are being hit enormously by the climate crisis. It is possible that ice-free summers will occur in the Arctic as early as the next decade.
How will climate change affect the Arctic and Antarctic? What consequences will the drastic warming at the poles have for the global climate and thus also in Europe? Prof. Dr. Oliver Krüger will answer these and other questions in his interesting lecture.

Datenschutzworkshop – Sergio Perez (Datenschutzbeauftragter der Studierendenschaft)
Friday, 30.06.2023, 6 p.m. in the AStA

First, an introductory lecture will be held.
This will be followed by a workshop in which you can work together to make your devices, especially cell phones, safer.

Registration required! The event has only a limited number of participants, registration via veranstaltung@asta.uni-goettingen.de.

Workshop: Klimakrise x Flucht x Queerness – Bi+
Saturday, 01.07.2023,  12 a.m. in Seminarraum 1 des AStA-Gebäudes

What does the climate issue have to do with gender justice and flight? What are the realities of life in the climate crisis? What challenges do FLINTA* in particular face? How does the intersection of flight and queerness reinforce the precarious situation of LGBTI* refugees? We invite you to discuss these and other questions with us.
The workshop is open to people of all ages, gender identity, sexual orientation, origin and background. The workshop will be held in German spoken language and is free of charge.

pastrophe. In a presentation we will explain the basics and answer your questions.
your questions.

Workshop: Making seed bombs – Grüne Hochschulgruppe
Saturday, 01.07.2023, 3 p.m. in the AStA-Garten

Are you curious about how you can actively contribute to the greening of our environment? Would you like to learn how to make seed bombs and use them as creative tools to spread plants in urban spaces? Then this workshop is for you!

Open action training – Ende Gelände
Saturday, 01.07.2023, 4 p.m. in the AStA-Garten

How do I prepare for an action or a demo? What is a reference group and what should I definitely not forget at home? How do I behave in a police encirclement? And how can I take care of myself and my friends?

These questions and many more we want to answer as EndeGelände Göttingen at our open action training and give you as many tools as possible to feel safe at your next demo or action. However, it should not remain with the theoretical basics of action preparation! Together we want to play through different action situations in practice, e.g. flowing through police chains, and exchange about our experiences and discomfort in actions.

Action trainings give us the basic tools for our political activism and the success of any action and are thus an important step for everyone, whether experienced in action or new to it, to get into action sustainably and well prepared.

You want to participate?
Then just come to the AStA of the University of Göttingen on 01.07. at 16 o’clock and bring your friends.

Let’s go, let’s go. EndeGelände!
